7/25/09 - "Harvey Putter" at Azkatraz 2009

Actress Sunny Christian (Hernia Grunger) represented the film at the Harry Potter conference in San Francisco last weekend called Azkatraz. She presented a discussion about the film, put up some Putter items in their auction, and got Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley in the Potter films) to pose with a Putter poster. You might remember we got the Weasley twins and Neville actors to pose as well with our poster at Dragon*con 2007.

5/30/09 - Harvey Putter at Azkatraz 2009

Alright, everyone, the Harvey Putter panel at Azkatraz is official! Sunny Christian ("Hernia Grunger") will be answering some questions about the film and showing some videos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20th, in the Mission 1 room. 5/20/09 - Internet Sensation Syncsta Joins Cast

If you spend every waking moment of your life on YouTube then you already know who Syncsta is: the hugely famous British lads who get MILLIONS of views for their videos, which have been mainly funny and entertaining lip syncs of your favorite songs. They have an incredible fan following and will be doing loads of TV and magazine interviews throughout Europe in the upcoming months. They are now branching out and producing original content with sketches and songs.

4/15/09 - River Bend Film Festival

Our trailer will screen Friday and Saturday night at the River Bend Film Festival in South Bend, IN on May 1 & 2. We'll also share a scene with Professor Snake in his lotions classroom. The festival is run by many of the Harvey Putter cast and crew members so come out and support this unique event in Northern Indiana boasting almost 50 films and guest speaker Stephen Susco, Hollywood screenwriter behind the Grudge movies. 

3/6/09 - Previews at ACCIOCON 2009 in Orlando &  EXPECTO PATRONUS 2009 in Sweden

We'll be showing sneak previews and excerpts from the film at several upcoming Potter themed conventions.

2/2/09 - Kiran Shah video - Meet the man and see the make-up creation

Check out our latest video featuring Kiran Shah (LORD OF THE RINGS, NARNIA, LEGEND, STAR WARS, etc!) who plays Dumpy the Housechmuck in the film. For those of you who may not know this, Kiran came over from London for a weekend to shoot his scenes last summer. We first met him at a LORD OF THE RINGS convention and as a result he did an introduction on our DORK OF THE RINGS DVD and later got him for HARVEY PUTTER.  The clip has some interviews with the cast, some rough cut excerpts from the film, and behind the scenes of his makeup process.

1/13/09 - Professor Snake the Snogwarts lotionsmaster says "Happy New Year, you snotty, smelly brats!"

It's already been two years since we first launched this website just as we began writing the screenplay, and we've come a long way since then. Some of the highlights of 2008 include:

* MuggleNet webmaster Emerson Spartz joins the cast
* Better World Books provides us with a gigantic studio space for filming
* Our bands The Quaffle Kids & Neville's Diary perform at Wrockstock 2 and Terminus convention
* Principal photography for the film May-August and working with Kiran Shah
* Our film preview and panel at Terminus convention in Chicago
* World Premiere of the trailer hosted online by MuggleNet which receives 24,000 hits in one week

This year we'll be super busy in post-production adding in all the special effects and other nifty stuff, but we're sure to have some previews and more at such events as LeakyCon, Azkatraz, AccioCon, Dragon*Con, GenCon, the South Bend Film Festival to name a few. This year we'll also launch our new website which will include a detailed Harvey Putter Lexicon, as well as exclusive new videos, photos, interviews, a forum and more!

11/26/08 - MUGGLENET TRAILER PREMIERE: HUGE SUCCESS! (and updated stats on views)

Our first trailer can be seen exclusively through MuggleNet.com's YouTube account HERE. They did a great write up about us and amazed at all the views and awesome comments we've received from the fan community since its premiere date, November 21. Thanks for all your support, we all appreciate it over here in "Harveywood." Many kudos to Emerson, Andrew and the gang over at MuggleNet for making this fantastic event happen.

As of almost midnight on Nov. 25 we've had 24,149 views and over 250 comments on YouTube. With a 4 1/2 star rating we think it's fairing pretty well, especially among you die hard fans! 

10/31/08 - MUGGLENET TRAILER PREMIERES NOVEMBER 21

Everything's right on schedule with the recent completion of the first very rough cut of the film. Soon our FX team will begin the exciting (and lengthy) process of creating the visual effects for the movie.  

At the moment we are quite focused on completing our first trailer which airs  exclusively on MuggleNet.com starting on November 21, the original release date of Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. There are also new galleries of photos and illustrations from the film up on our site at  Flickr. 

We still have a few key scenes to shoot yet including Groaning Gertle, the Wurselys, and Lord Moldymort's attempt on baby Harvey's life.

8/10/08 - TERMINUS CON & NEWS ARTICLE

There is much that can be said about the Harry Potter con we attended in Chicago called Terminus, but some of the highlights include: 

*Meeting the band members of Harry and the Potters
*Chatting with MTV
*Having our Harvey Putter presentation go extremely well (with lots of laughs!)
*Having our wizard wrock shows (Quaffle kids & Neville's Diary) rock the house
*Selling out of all our merch (QK & Neville CDs and Dork of the Rings)
*Watching The Wizard Rockumentary and The Potter Prophecy films by our good friends
* Filming a cameo for the film with Draco and the Malfoys (plus shooting Hernia's last shot)
*And just meeting loads of fantastic people. 

We were also mentioned in the South Bend Tribune's article today (Sunday) with Emerson Spartz of MuggleNet who talked about his work in our film, among his various projects.

8/4/08 - IT'S A WRAP!...AND CHICAGO CON

After over two months of filming we wrapped principal photography on Sunday, August 3. Our last scenes were with Harvey and Mumblemore in his office. Many thanks to our talented and dedicated cast and crew who were beyond outstanding. You guys are truly magical.  

7/9/08 - KIRAN SHAH & FILMING CONTINUES

It was a great pleasure to work with our friend Kiran Shah (LORD OF THE RINGS, NARNIA, LEGEND) recently when he portrayed Dumpy the Houseschmuck. This coming weekend we'll be shooting Squidditch matches and the huge Bureaucracy of Sorecery fight scene with the Order of the Kleonix! Filming with MuggleNet webmaster Emerson Spartz also went great, even if we lost electricity right after his shots!

5/8/08 - SET BUILDING  AND COSTUMING CONTINUE

Excitement is in the air as the production moves ever-steadily forward. More recent set building and final costume fittings are really starting to bring the film to life. Filming will begin May 31 rather than May 17 due to some injuries poor David (Mumblemore) recently received. But he's a tough old cookie and doing well, and it also gives us a few more weeks to get the set completed.

4/28/08 - SET CONSTRUCTION WELL UNDERWAY

With filming just 3 weeks away our dedicated cast and crew have been very busy getting the sets completed for our first shoot on May 17 which will be Headmaster Mumblemore's office scenes. To the left you can see the arched window walls in progress which will be used throughout the Snogwarts castle set in the various rooms and hallways.

4/19/08 - LESS THAN 6 WEEKS UNTIL FILMING!

We've all been very busy preparing for the 3 month shoot ahead of us so bare with us as we try to keep the website up to date. We are in the process of creating an online photo gallery so we can share all the art in progress and the still photos from the set that will be forthcoming througjout the summer. Meanwhile, to your left you can see Scot dressed as Hagard from a recent cotume fitting. Lookin' good, you half-witted half giant!

2/15/08 - MUGGLENET WEBMASTER JOINS CAST

Emerson Spartz is the webmaster of the largest Harry Potter website in the world, MuggleNet.com, and will be spoofing himself in a cameo as "Everson Sputz," a Harvey Putter fan site webmaster. He has a very busy summer schedule ahead of him, but he said he'd be happy to do it, so we'll work out the filming details to fit his availability. 

12/26/07 - FIRST DRAFT IS COMPLETED

The first draft of the full script was recently mailed to the cast and crew on Christmas Day (a present!).  Here's wishing all our team, friends and fans a very Happy New Year. 2008 is The Year of Harvey Putter!

12/22/07 - "HAGARD" HAS BEEN CAST!

Hagard will be played by Scot Purkeypile, an accomplished actor and director who earned an M.F.A. in Acting and an M. A. in Communications and Directing. He has acted throughout the country, appearing in professional, academic, community, and dinner theatre productions. 

10/23/07 - CASTING NEWS!  

Auditions are over and we had a lot of great actors try out over our three weekends. We'll be contacting everyone who tried out by early December with a casting update. We are still seeking actors for several unfilled roles so read in our AUDITION section for more details.

In other casting news we are pleased to officially announce that London based actor Kiran Shah is joining our cast as Dumpy the Houseschmuck. Kiran has been in scores of films including Legend, Return of the Jedi, Titanic, and was most recently in The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia as the White Witch's sleigh driving dwarf. He's been a friend ours for several years now and did the introduction to our film The Dork of the Rings. Welcome aboard, Kiran! You can visit his website at www.littlekiran.com.

9/22/07 - BRYCE’S NEW WIZARD ROCK BAND  

Bryce recently started a solo act in addition to The Quaffle Kids called Neville’s Diary, which is an effort of Neville's to cope with all the terrible things he experienced in his life. Neville chose Wizard Rocker Bryce Cone to help write the music and play the acoustic guitar. The outcome is sincere, heartfelt words from a tormented boy put to music. 9/17/06 - AUDITIONS

Three audition locations are set in October: Borders, Fun F/X Halloween store and Indiana University South Bend. The AUDITIONS section has been updated with details on dates, times, character lists, scenes for auditions, downloadable audition forms and info on sending us video auditions. We are also teaming up with Michiana S.P.E.W. to hold their second House Elf Clothing Drive. We will be accepting clothing donations for South Bend's Center for the Homeless during all audition times to assist the needy during the upcoming holiday season. In addition, our popular Harry Potter themed “wizard rock” band The Quaffle Kids will be performing a free hour show at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12 at the Fun F/X outlet.

9/6/07 - POTTER CAST PRAISES PUTTER

Our Harvey Putter ambassador to Dragon*Con brings us cool news and photos. Diane met with Harry potter actors Matthew Lewis (Neville) and James & Oliver Phelps (the Weasley twins) and chatted to them about the film, gave them copies of our Quaffle Kids CDs and photographed them holding the Harvey Putter promos we gave them. Great job Diane and thanks for spreading the word to them and all the other fans at Dragon*Con! More photos in the GALLERY.

8/7/07 - PROPHECY CON IN TORONTO

Prophecy in Toronto was a huge success! Our wizard rock show went awesome and got lots of footage for some of our spoof videos like the Wizard Schlockumentary and fan comments on the Harvey Putter books and films. We finally got to meet lots of cool Potter fans and rockers including Megan and Mallory of the Wizard Rockumentary, Erin Pyne (fan author/filmmaker), The Remus Lupins, Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls, The Chocolate Frogs and many, many more!

4/9/07 - QUAFFLE KIDS WIZARD ROCK BAND

After discovering the Wizard Rock subculture of Harry Potter fandom, Bryce (Harvey Putter) and Tim (director) formed The Quaffle Kids. You can hear four of the songs off their upcoming album Smells Like Harry Potter: "Collin Creevy, You're So Creepy", "Magical Me", "Quidditch Time" and "The Common Welsh Green" all which are found on their MySpace.

The script for Harvey Putter is currently in progress and is being written by award-winning screenwriters Tim Richardson and Michael Kouroubetes as well as James Pickens. Principle photography won't begin until early 2008. Composer Mark D'Errico and Dr. Demento comedy singing sensation The Great Luke Ski are already signed on.

1/27/07 - MEET MUGGLENET

Our team attended a local book signing featuring Emerson Spartz, the founder of the #1 Harry Potter website in the world MuggleNet.com and one of the authors of "What Will Happen In Harry Potter 7."  We spoke with Emerson and his brother Dylan (web designer for the site) and both were very enthusiastic about the film project.  We look forward to working with them as the project develops.
