All workshops will take place in the main viewing room, Wiekamp 1001.


SCREENWRITING - Tom Joachim, an Hollywood screenwriter with 30 years experience (WKRP in Cincinnati, Charlie's Angels) goes over the fundamentals of good scriptwriting.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.

DIRECTORS PANEL - A variety of filmmakers who have films in the festival will talk about the different ways they create films and field questions from the audience about the filmaking process.
Saturday 2:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.


FILM EFFECTS FOR LOW-BUDGET FILM* - Effects artists Andrew Swisher and Todd Davis, along with sound designer Brian McLaughlin, take you step by step through the process of creating the effects and sound for the short film Cannibal Lovers directed by Tara Eary.
Saturday 4:30 p.m. - 5:50 p.m.

*Please note the effects workshop will involve gore make-up and effects so bare that in mind for children and the faint of heart.
