I lost a bet! No, I had seen Tim around campus and I’d heard him speak about his films and all that. And then just one day I emailed him out of the blue and I was supposed to meet him at his office one day and I wasn’t even going to stop. I was just going to keep going but there was a note on his door: "Mat, I’ll be back in five minutes." And, I’m like, I gotta stay! So, I stayed and we stood around talking. That was about a little over a year ago. And been doing things ever since. What was your first modeling experience like? On my first real photo shoot I was sick as hell and it showed. But there were some okay shots out of it . People still liked the pictures, but I knew I could do better and I did later on. What have you learned from that first modeling shoot? Patience. Even a short photo shoot is like 8 hours. It’s a lot of standing around in what you think are stupid-looking poses, but they look much better when you see the picture. It’s probably one of the most complex endurance trials known to man . . .next to an Iron Butterfly concert. Is modeling just a hobby or could you think of it as a potential job? I don’t think I’d ever model as a career. It’s fun, but I couldn’t do it all the time. But it helps with everything I like to do, like music and acting. Modeling is cool, and it’s a good way to present yourself, especially if you are one of those people that can pull off a lot of different looks.
Um…Timmy is different. I mean, he’s always got different colored hair. He is always dressing kinda different. He’s the one who’s supposed to stand out from everybody else. Not like Bryce who’s the main person, but there is always just this guy that you can’t help but notice. How is Timmy similar to you? You look at him and just see one thing, but then there is so much more in there that you don’t know about, and so that would be pretty similar to the way I am. You can look at me and not guess anything what I’m like or anything I like to do. Most people won’t look at me and see that I can play the French horn. The initial impression is totally different than what the person actually turns out to be. |
