From Missouri to Milan, this waiter-turned-model is quite an amazing find. After seeing him as a recent finalist on Modellaunch.com, we caught up with this busy guy to see what's been cooking... So, how were you discovered? I've been modeling for about a year and a half now. I was "discovered" while I was working as a waiter in a fine dining restaurant. I had just moved back to St. Louis, MO. I had been an insurance broker for the past few years and was not happy at all with the insurance business. I quit my job and took a position as a waiter in a new restaurant that was just about to open. I was originally looking for a job as a bartender but nothing came up, so when it was time to start at the restaurant, I reluctantly showed up for work. The first night we were open to the public, and at the very first table I waited on, sat a group of ladies. They told me how I look like Tom Cruise and asked me if I modeled. This was a common occurrence, so I thanked them for the compliment and told them no, I did not model. These ladies were different than the rest of the people who had paid me the same compliment, because they actually knew someone in the modeling industry and gave me the name of an agency and the lady that owned it. I called the next day. Within a week I went into meet them and did my first test a few weeks later and I have been modeling ever since. |
